當LeBronJames捧著冠軍金盃，走出機艙的時候，現場球迷歡呼聲震天，從小就在克里夫蘭附近長大的小皇帝，實現了他回家鄉打球的諾言，抱回騎士隊史第1座總冠軍，也是這個搖滾之都，52年第1座職業運動的冠軍金盃。
當地時間中午，霍普金斯國際機場，早就聚集超過10000名的球迷，等待他們的英雄返鄉，騎士從1勝3敗的劣勢逆轉，擊敗勇士，完成了不可能的任務，這座金盃，也讓小皇帝愛不釋手，而奪冠當天，哭得最凶的，並不是James。
騎士後衛史密斯：「我是要說我的父母我的家人，是我生命中最大的鼓舞，在我一生當中有很多黑暗時刻，如果沒有他們我無法在這裡。」
這天剛好是美國父親節，J.R.Smith的父母都在現場，分享兒子的榮耀，外號神經射手的Smith，穩定度總讓人擔心，NBA生涯風波不斷，曾經開車發生車禍，造成乘客死亡遭禁賽，還有假受傷規避練球的前科，如今算是浪子回頭，不過，就在記者會結束後，騎士全隊在上飛機之前，先前往拉斯維加斯的夜店狂歡慶功，現場不少清涼辣妹陪伴，哭泣發洩完的Smith，馬上又恢復生龍活虎，裸著刺青的上身，喝酒慶祝，因此，當騎士回到克里夫蘭之後，他是沒穿上衣走出飛機，接受球迷歡呼。（民視新聞丁泰祥、余啟成綜合報導）
